Jammie Royall is waiting for contractors to submit bids on the town’s street-paving program.
Work began on Ridgecrest Drive in 2019 and was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The town manager said the project had a $100,000 price tag and expects the same for the second phase. Royall hopes to finish Ridgecrest Drive and portions of South Center Street.
Mount Olive receives two state Powell Aid appropriations annually that total about $60,000 each.
“I am just waiting on them [contractors] to give us a price because we are having some good weather for it right now,” Royall said
