Routine traffic stop not so routine

A traffic stop for a reported improper equipment violation led to a drug arrest by the Mount Olive Police Department Investigation Division.

According to the incident report, detectives discovered that passenger Jacinda Joyner had MDMA, powder cocaine and crack cocaine in her possession.

Officers charged Joyner with felony possession of MDMA, cocaine and felony possession of a Schedule II drug. She was taken to the Wayne County Magistrate’s Office and given a $2,000 secured bond.
