Pizza manager accused of stealing


A Papa John’s employee faces larceny charges after an investigation by the Mount Olive Police Department with assistance from the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office.

According to an incident report, MOPD officer Edward Martinez was dispatched to Papa John’s Pizza in reference to larceny by an employee on April 18.

Savannah Watson, the store’s acting manager, took two different deposits from the pizza parlor, Martinez reported.

Watson is charged with two felony counts of larceny by an employee. The Sampson County Sheriff’s Office helped Martinez serve the warrants. Watson was booked into the Sampson County Detention Center under an unsecured bond of $5,000.
