SEVEN SPRINGS - A picturesque town nestled on the banks of the Neuse River, historic Seven Springs came back to life Saturday afternoon.
As ominous, rain-filled clouds floated away to reveal clear-blue skies, local residents enjoyed the 19th annual Old Timey Days Festival.
“It’s good to have something in town again,” said Ronda Hughes, mayor of the town’s oldest municipality incorporated in 1851.
Live music, street dancing, magic shows, face painting, a horse and buggy ride were just some the attractions available during the day-long affair.
Proceeds from the event benefit future festivals.
