CALYPSO - The North Duplin varsity girls’ basketball team bounced back in dominating fashion Tuesday evening after suffering its first loss of the season.
Addy Higginbotham and Reece Outlaw combined for 50 points in a 73-46 romp over Carolina 1A rival Union. The duo converted 17 field goals and shot a combined 13 of 19 at the free throw line.
Higginbotham scored 17 points in the third quarter.
Meghan Martin and Tateyawan Faison contributed eight points apiece.
As a team, the Rebels made 27 field goals and finished 16 of 27 at the free throw stripe.
Weather permitting, North Duplin (11-1 overall, 1-1 Carolina) travels to Rosewood on Friday.
