‘Large amount of meth’ found in car at stop


Wayne County deputies say they seized a load of methamphetamine from a car stopped for an equipment violation April 17.

Deputy Martin Bayles reported finding a “large amount of methamphetamine” inside a car after pulling it over in the southern portion of the county.

The driver of the car, 30-year-old Julian Valles of Dudley is charged with trafficking meth by possession, trafficking meth by transportation, maintaining a vehicle for illegal drugs and possessing drug paraphernalia, according to a release from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

He is held in the Wayne County Detention Center under a secured bond of $100,000.
