Drive-thru COVID-19 testing available at Cape Fear Valley Health Pavilion North

FAYETTEVILLE – Starting Thursday, Oct. 21, drive-thru COVID-19 testing will be available at Cape Fear Valley Health Pavilion North, located at 6387 Ramsey St., Fayetteville. Patients will remain in their car for testing and results will be available on the same or next day.

The drive-thru testing site will be open Tuesdays through Fridays, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., for individuals who are ages 5 and older. The testing will be done in front of the main entrance, which faces Andrews Road. Vaccinations will continue to be offered in the ExpressCare, located at the east end of the facility.

“We’re opening this testing location in response to the influx of children we’ve seen visiting the Emergency Department for testing,” said Vice President of Pharmacy and Cancer Centers Christopher Tart. “Many schools are requiring a negative PCR test for exposed students to be able to return to class, and this site will be an alternative for parents who don’t want to take a trip to the Emergency Department.”

The site will be administering polymerase chain reaction (PCR) COVID-19 tests. Patients will be able to access their results online through the myChart patient portal (www.capefearvalley.com/mychart), by calling (910) 615-TEST (8378), or in person at the Cape Fear Valley Health Pavilion North pharmacy.

For patients with insurance, the COVID-19 tests will be fully covered with no out-of-pocket costs. Patients without insurance will be billed $50.
