GOLDSBORO - Deeper Life Church Ministries has scheduled a two-day women’s conference themed “The Emerging Woman,” for today (May 13) and Saturday.
The conference promises to help women emerge more enlightened, empowered, more apparent…emerging better than they were pre-conference.
“I want women to leave realizing who we are as women through practical teaching and fellowshipping with women of like minds,” said First Lady Ashley McNair, who is hosting the conference. “Emerging women are women who are finding our places in the body of Christ while realizing our greatness on the inside of us… We often nurture and pour into other people and forget about ourselves. We are no good for anybody else, if we aren’t first good to ourselves.”
Dr. Wanda Frazier-Parker, co-pastor of Truth Tabernacle Ministries in Rocky Mount, is the guest speaker today. She authored the book, “Emerging Voices.”
Pastor Shavon Smith from Norfolk, Virginia, is the guest speaker for Saturday’s brunch.
The brunch will be held at the Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly Fellowship Hall on 211 W Hooks River Road in Goldsboro. The registration deadline has passed.
McNair will speak Saturday at 7 p.m.
Except for the brunch, the conference is free for women of all walks of life who wish to be better women and find strength in every area of their life. Children are welcome to attend the services.
