Deborah Roberts King, 73, resident of Leland, passed away Monday morning, July 5, 2021, in Holly Ridge, at the home of a son.
A service to remember her life was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 10, at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive, officiated by the Rev. Ashley Summerlin, followed by visitation.
Deborah was a native of the Faison/Warsaw area, and was a member of the 1966 graduating class of North Duplin High School. She was employed as a departmental administrative assistant with Brunswick Community College in its continuing education department. While she did not utilize her skills, she was also a certified welder.
Deborah is survived by her sons, Larry D. King, and wife, Lydia Sasser King, of Holly Ridge, and Gary King of Seven Springs; two grandchildren, Sarina King and Cody Ryan King; a sister, Sue Roberts Holland of Wilmington; three brothers, Durwood Roberts of Pennsylvania, Delmas Roberts of Virginia, and Bobby Roberts of South Carolina; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur Carlyle Roberts and Mildred Coltren Roberts; and two brothers, James Roberts and Joe Roberts.
