A Goldsboro man out on probation for convictions of possessing a drug precursor and larceny is back in jail after police say a warrantless search of his home revealed more drugs.
Christopher Scott Sharp, 26, of 1011 Aycock St., was charged with possessing marijuana with an intent to distribute it, possessing a schedule III controlled substance, possessing drug paraphernalia and maintaining a home for the promotion of drugs.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team assisted Wayne County Probation with a warrantless search of Sharp’s home on June 9.
Warrantless searches are allowed under Sharp’s conditions of probation, according to a release from the Sheriff’s Office.
The “search led to the discovery of narcotics and contraband in Sharp’s possession,” the release stated.
Sharp was arrested and transported to the Wayne County Detention Center where he was being held in lieu of a $2,000 secured bond.
