Family and Friends Day Sunday

St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, 3414 Summerlin Road, Mount Olive will observe Family and Friends Day at 11 a.m. Sunday. The Rev. James A. Davis will deliver the sermon. The St. Luke Churh Choir will provide the music. All are invited.

Pastor’s 10th anniversary Sunday

The officers and members of Winn Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 110 Smith St., Mount Olive, will celebrate their pastor’s 10th anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The congregation’s pastor and teacher, the Rev. Samuel Johnson, will be honored by the Rev. Louis Leigh and members of First African Baptist Church of Goldsboro at the service. The public is invited to attend.

‘The Power of We’ Sunday

Outlaw’s Bridge Universalist Church, 4408 N.C. Highway 111 N., Seven Springs, will host Rev. Claudia M. Frost presenting a sermon on “The Power of We” at 11 a.m. Sunday. This year’s recent Unitarian Universalist General Assembly in Spokane, Washington, featured a different format for programming, an abbreviated business agenda and multiple voices in collaborative worship throughout the week. The church invites everyone to join them to hear about the denomination’s annual gathering and to celebrate “The Power of We” through music, story and words.

Revival July 31

St. James Church of Christ, 514 S. Breazeale Ave., Mount Olive, will host a revival July 31-Aug. 2 with Dr. Timothy Peppers Sr. leading the services. Different choirs will provide the music each night.
