Women’s Day
service May 26

The Rev. Samuel Johnson and the members of Winn Chapel Missionary Baptist Church are hosting the church’s 2019 Women’s Day Celebration service at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 26. The Rev. Brenda Mercer of Zion Grove Baptist Church in Aulander will share the message. The church is located at 110 Smith St., Mount Olive.

St. Luke to host
Women’s Day May 26

Women’s Day will be observed at Greater St. Luke United Holy Church of America, 310 W. South St., Rose Hill, at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 26. The Rev. Linda Rawley-Thompson will give the message. Ordination set for May 26

The public is invited to the ordination service of Georgeanna W. Grady, who is to be installed as a church mother of Greater St. Luke United Holy Church of America, 310 W. South St., Rose Hill. The service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 26. District Elder Linda Moore, pastor of Providence UHCA in Jacksonville will give the message. All are invited to attend.

Journey to Wholeness program May 26

Outlaw’s Bridge Universalist Church, 4408 North N.C. 111, Seven Springs, will hold a sermon to celebrate the resilience of the human spirit, considering faith and mental illness as part of a journey to wholeness at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 26.

The Rev. Claudia M. Frost will present “The Journey to Wholeness.” May is Mental Health Awareness month. All are welcome to attend.

Missionary service
set for June 2

Greater St. Luke UHCA, 310 W. South St., Rose Hill, will host a mission service on Sunday, June 2, at 11 a.m. The messenger will be Elder Bryan Farland, an associate minister of Greater St. Luke UHCA. The public is invited. District Elder Anthony Flow is the pastor.
