Revival continues Thursday at
Payne Temple

Payne Temple AME Zion Church, 915 S. Center St., Mount Olive, will continue its Lenten revival Thursday, April 11 with the Rev. Jeff Dail, pastor of Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Speaker to discuss Easter symbols

Michael Mozingo will deliver a Palm Sunday guest message on Easter symbols — including the cross, eggs, chicks, bunnies and lambs — at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 14 at Outlaw’s Bridge Universalist Church, 4408 N.C. 111 N., Seven Springs. Mozingo will bring his own “basket of Easter love” to share with some lucky person in attendance and plans to teach lessons through word and song.

St. Luke to hold spiritual program

St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church will observe its spiritual program at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 14. Speakers are Anita Daniels, Ann Faison, Greg Hawkins, Sister Brenda Henry, Deacon Hallie Melvin, Mother Bettie Boykin, Evangelist Bertha Smith, Clutida Monk, the Rev. Lisa McNair, Sister Lakeshia Mattox, Sister Linda Johnson and Brother Milton Whitfield.

Easter egg hunt planned in
Westbrook Park

The Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church will have an Easter egg hunt in Westbrook Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20. There will be inflatables, hot dogs, face-painting, carnival games and more than 500 goodie bags for the children. Call John Michaelson at 919-658-5122 for more information.
