Mount Olive Church of God Revival

Senior citizens banquet at Northeast

Northeast OFWB, 489 Northeast Church Road, Mount Olive, will have its annual Senior Citizens Banquet on March 31. Sunday school is at 10 a.m., and church is at 11. The church service will include a workshop through the musical selections of Randy Cashwell as well as a banquet to follow provided by the church. Contact Amy Best for information at 919-738-5427.

Easter egg hunt in Westbrook Park

The Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church will have an Easter egg hunt in Westbrook Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 20. There will be inflatables, hot dogs, face painting, carnival games, and over 500 goodie bags for the children. Call John Michaelson at 919-658-5122 for additional information.

‘Green-eyed monsters’ topic on Sunday

Rev Claudia Frost will lead the service “The Green-Eyed Monsters” at Outlaw’s Bridge Universalist Church, 4408 N. N.C. 111, Seven Springs, Sunday at 11 a.m. Shakespeare used the term, Green Eyed Monster in both “Othello” and “The Merchant of Venice” to portray jealousy, envy and resentment. Many Biblical stories weave tales of jealous, intrigue and downfall. The church will continue its sermon series on negative or difficult emotions, exploring the impact of these emotions on spiritual growth and the sense of wholeness.
