‘Unplugged’ at Outlaw’s Bridge Sunday

The Rev. Claudia M. Frost will present a service titled “Unplugged” Sunday during the 11 a.m. service at Outlaw’s Bridge Universalist Church, 4408 N. N.C. 111, Seven Springs.

During Lent, the congregation at Outlaw’s Bridge Universalist Church are being urged to take the opportunity to reconnect with an unhurried pace of life.

What did you do with all that time before cellphones and emails? Do you catch yourself falling down the time zapping rabbit hole of Facebook or other social media? Has 24/7 news coverage turned you into a “news junkie” needing a quick fix of your preferred slant on the latest world events? Do you catch yourself being a bit more emotionally reactive to everyday events than you used to be? What does being so busy really cost us in terms of our relationships with family, friends and the Source of Life?

“Please join in for a time to ‘unplug’ and reconnect with the Holy,” read an announcement of Sunday’s service.

The news release stated, “At Outlaw’s Bridge Universalist Church, we are committed to the inclusion of every person. All are welcome here without regard to race, ethnicity, economic status, gender, sexual orientation, ability or political affiliation.”
