Happy special 91st birthday to our Assistant Pastor, Elder Velma McKinley, on Wednesday. May God bless you to have a blessed and happy celebration from your pastor, Elder Kenneth Freemen, and the St. Luke Church family. We love you so much and we appreciate you so much.

Happy 12th anniversary to Minister Carl Faison who was honored during the month of February at The Prayer House in Faison. Carl would like to thank everyone who showed love and attended the service. A hearty thank you to Elder Velma McKinley and Pastor Janice Williams who preached sermonettes on the first Sunday night, to Elder Carl Jones of Durham who rendered service on the second Sunday, and to Dr. Everlena Oliver and St. Jude Church of Christ of Warsaw with the sermon that climaxed the celebration. What an awesome message.

St. Mark Church of Christ, 893 Lanetown Road, Faro, will celebrate their 100th church anniversary Sunday at 11 a.m. with co-pastor Alva Carlisle McGowan of Shining Light Bible Mission Church in Columbus, Ohio. The climax of the celebration will be at 3 p.m. with guest preacher General Bishop Alton Smith and St. Mark Church of Christ Choir, usher, and congregation of Goldsboro. The pastor, Bishop Robert D. Hood, invites you to attend. On March 9 at 5 p.m., the St. Mark Reunion Celebration will be held at Stantonsburg Community Center. All are welcome to attend. Please RSVP Mother Ann Uzzell.

Revival is in progress at Mt. Livingstone United Holy Church, 403 Ethel St., Selma, March 4-8 at 7:30 p.m. nightly with guest preacher Elder Rashad Cobb, the evangelist preacher.

Mark your calendar and save the date of April 20, which will be an Easter Celebration featuring Pastor Shirley Caesar, Lil’ Roy and the Revelation, and Tammy Edwards with doors open at 4 p.m. The program is 5-8 p.m. Ticket prices are $25-$35 with VIP tickets $40. The event will be at the Rocky Mount Event Center, 285 NE Main St., Rocky Mount.

Darden Chapel OFWB Church Women’s Conference 2019 will be held on March 6-9 at 7 p.m. nightly. The theme is “Women of Glory; Taking Off the Mask, the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly,” 2 Corinthians 3:18. The Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly, 211 W. Hooks River Road, Goldsboro, will be honoring Bishop Chester Aycock for 20 years of outstanding leadership on March 22 at 7 p.m. Bishop Aycock will be officially retiring. Special guest preacher will be Bishop Sheldon McCarter, senior pastor at Greater Church of Winston-Salem, with presider Bishop Winston Smith, the general bishop. All are invited.

Like Morning Dew Ministries will present a Spiritual Gifts Gathering on March 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at La Grange Community Center, 410 E. Washington St., La Grange. Elder Tachala Dawson Hood, founder of Like Morning Dew Ministries, will host.

The Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly Usher’s Convention will be held March 15 and 16. Friday night at 7 p.m. There will be a musical program featuring various choirs. On Saturday, the Usher’s Convention will begin at 10 a.m. At 2 p.m. there will be a Rainbow Tea. Registration fee is $20 for both days and a $10 donation for the Rainbow Tea.
