Do dogs like pizza? Mine does, and if the opportunity arises she will not share either.
Occasionally, I get a small one, take it home, and share it with my little fur baby. She likes the crust more than the pizza end of it. At least that’s what I thought.
We had an issue last weekend and she wound up jerking my chain. It was my fault.
I share everything with her, but that is something she has not and apparently will not learn.
Believe it or not, if I cook a steak or a hamburger I have to cook two in order to get one.
I guess I am dog pecked, huh?
I made a life-long commitment when I got my little furry friend three years ago: I will take care of you.
In return, she has become an outstanding watchdog, as well as a decent companion to my cat.
Still, with all her good traits, she will not share anything. She wants it all.
As soon as I walked in the door with that pizza the other afternoon, she became wide awake, intensively attentive, and on high alert with my every movement.
When I walked in the house, I put the pizza on the kitchen table and briefly went to the bathroom.
What a mistake that turned out to be!
As I walked back into the kitchen, Sam was at war with the pizza. It was (or had been) a small pizza. She had already wolfed down all but one slice, and was working on that one.
She knew she had done wrong, but showed no remorse, and even indicated she wanted more.
I knew right then I had made a careless mistake, and there was no need to get mad.
I did sternly say, “Damn, you could have left me at least one piece!”
Then she insulted me a little more.
I fed her the usual afternoon meal, which she also wolfed down.
I made myself a sandwich and the sneaky rascal wanted some of that, too.
She weighs 60 pounds, and eats well. She is the epitome of healthy, so don’t think I don’t feed her.
Yes, dogs do like pizza, and have no picky concerns about the toppings.
Wonder how she would handle some extra crushed red pepper and a lot of jalapenos or habaneros?
