Rotary of Mount Olive has busy month

The following schools received 500 disposable masks: Carver Elementary, Mount Olive Middle, Southern Wayne High School, Brogden Primary School, Brogden Middle School, Grantham Elementary School and Grantham Middle School.

Rotary of Mount Olive is also soliciting contributions to match a pledge by Mt. Olive Pickle to provide more masks for students, teachers and staff.

New Rotary club signs have been posted on Highway 55 and Smith Chapel Road.

The club hosted a fundraiser at Highway 55 in Mount Olive on Oct. 10. The Belk Charity Drive was held the same weekend.

A food truck representing Rotary of Mount Olive visited R&R Brewery and Daughtry Field, the site of youth soccer games sponsored by the Mount Olive Parks & Recreation Department.

All funds raised by Rotary of Mount Olive go to local schools and charities, as well as the Rotary’s worldwide efforts to rid the world of polio.
