Revivals, special services planned at area churches

Spring revival will be held at St. James Church of Christ, Breazeale Avenue, at 7 p.m. nightly April 10-12. Revivalist preacher Dr. Hattie Lofton will deliver the service. The pastor, Elder Ernest Watson Sr., invites you.

New Life Worship Center, 218 Maple St., will hold a revival April 17-19 at 7:30 p.m. nightly with guest revivalist Apostle Michael Artis of St. John Kingdom Ministry of Snow Hill. Pastor Janice Williams invites you to come and fellowship.

A prayer breakfast will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 20 with Evangelist Denise Temple of Agate Word Fellowship in Raleigh. Registration is $10.

Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly, 211 W. Hooks River Road, in Goldsboro, invites you to the 52nd annual midyear session beginning at 7 p.m. nightly April 24-27. Guest preacher April 24 will be Bishop William Barber II. On April 25, Vice Bishop Rodney Parker will speak. On April 26, Pastor J. Vincent Terry will deliver the message. Life Changers Kingdom Ministries, 270 Motorcycle Road, Clayton, will hold “Experiencing Resurrection Glory” at 7:30 p.m. nightly April 17-19. Gospel Revival Uplift Ministry, Hillsboro Street, Mount Olive, invites you to a Unity Fellowship Service at 8 p.m. Friday, April 19. St. Luke Church of Christ, 636 Waller Road, Mount Olive, will continue its Youth Day celebration at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 21 with the St. Luke Youth Choir providing the music. The Youth Day address will be delivered by Brother Carl Boseman and the Word will be delivered by St. Luke’s own pastor, Elder Kenneth Freeman.

Clayton Chapel Church of Christ, 217 S. Poplar St., Spring Hope, will honor its pastor, Elder Thomas Raynor, as he celebrates his eighth pastoral anniversary at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 28. Guest preacher will be Minister Quaveon Richardson. Concluding the service at 4 p.m. will be Elder James Newsome and the St. Paul Church of Christ of Zebulon.

A Rainbow Tea will be held at 5 p.m. May 11 in the St. Luke Church fellowship hall. Colors are orange, blue, pink, red, and white. There will be a $10 donation taken.
