Freshman Landon Kelly would finish the job by getting Bass in from second advancing the Rebels lead to 5-0 after one. Tanner Gehron would go on to pick up another RBI making the lead for North Duplin 6-0 in the bottom of the third. Outlaw would give up two runs, but then settled down and finished off the Leopards giving North Duplin the 6-2 win.

The Lady Rebels' offense was no slouch either as they scored a combined nine runs in the fifth and sixth innings to enforce the mercy rule on Lakewood giving them their second straight win via mercy rule.

Junior Logan Ray Jones had a solid night at the plate contributing one RBI and going 2-for-4. Sophomore Callie Thornton not only made an impact in the circle, but she also made her presence felt at the dish bringing in three RBI. Sophomore Hannah Martin continued to produce as she has so far this season; Martin picked up two RBI in the win. Future Mount Olive Trojan Rayanna Koch also finished the game with two RBI rounding out the tough balanced attack from the Rebels.
