The North Carolina Pickle Princess Pageant was held Saturday night in Raper Hall on the University of Mount Olive campus. This year’s pageant had 24 contestants.
Julie Beck, president of the Mount Olive Chamber of Commerce and chairwoman of the North Carolina Pickle Festival, welcomed attendees and discussed some of the highlights at this weekend’s upcoming festival.
New to the pageant this year was the Lifetime Queen title. Winners will serve as the N.C. Pickle Festival queens and lifetime ambassadors for the pageant.
Blair Sarvis was crowned the first N.C. Pickle Festival queen. Following her coronation, judges crowned the 2019 N.C. Pickle Pageant court.
