CALYPSO - Riley Hatch turned in a three-hit outing as unbeaten North Duplin crushed Lakewood, 20-1, in a Carolina 1A Conference softball game Monday evening.
Logan Jones and Callie Thornton each batted 2-for-2.
Danna Santibanez, Hannah Martin, Kasey Jones and Starr Jaco supplied one hit apiece.
Thornton logged 10 strikeouts during a four-inning stint inside the pitcher’s circle. Jaco tossed one inning of no-hit relief.
The Rebels (5-0 overall, 5-0 Carolina) travel to Hobbton next Monday.
