Minister Donishia Best Dobson would like to send a special thank you to each and every one who prayed and showed love during the passing of her husband, Paul Mega Dobson. She would also like to thank her pastor, Elder Delois Waddell, and Holy Temple Miracle Tabernacle of Snow Hill.

Our prayers and sympathy are with the family of our cousin, John L. Ward, who passed away on Monday night at home. The homegoing celebration was held on Tuesday, March 12, at 11 a.m. at St. Luke Church of Christ. Service was entrusted by J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home.

John L. Ward was the son of the late Cleveland and Lillie Mae Ward and the husband of Mrs. Rose Ward and the father of Katrina Ward Armwood of Chicago, Tomika Ward and Christ Ward of Goldsboro, the brother of Evelyn Ward of Baltimore, Betty Joyce Ward Peacock, Annette Cogdell, Vickie Waters, Brenda Ward, Wanda Ward Greene, and Sandra Ward of Florida. Please keep the John L. Ward family in your prayers.

Goshen Disciple Church, Suttontown Road, Faison, will celebrate their pastor, Elder Donald DeWitt on Sunday, March 24, at 11 a.m. with guest preacher Elder Kenneth Freeman, the St. Luke Church of Christ Choir, usher, and congregation of Mt. Olive. Goshen Church family invites you to come and celebrate their pastor.

The Goldsboro-Raleigh District Union meeting will be held March 30-31 with Saturday morning business at 9:30 a.m. and worship service at 11 a.m. On Sunday morning, Sunday school is at 9:45 a.m. with worship service at 11 a.m. The guest preacher will be announced next week.

St. Jude Church of Christ, 119 W. Pierce St., Warsaw, will have a four-night revival March 12-15 at 7:30 nightly with the revivalist preacher, Elder Leslie Morrisey of Greater Six Run MB Church, Turkey. The pastor, Dr. Everlena Oliver, invites you to come and fellowship.

Congratulations to Dr. Everlena Oliver for serving on the Department of Women’s Ministry for 21 years. She was honored with a banquet at the Goldsboro-Raleigh Assembly on March 2 at 6 p.m.

New Vision Christian Church, 2102 Hobbton Highway, Clinton, will present A Healing Crusade on Friday, March 22, at 7:30 p.m. with guest preacher Elder Terrell Powell of Holly Grove Church of Christ, choir, usher and congregation of Clinton. The pastor, Apostle Perry Ashford, invites you.

My thought and prayer for this week: Father, thank you for your favor on Monday and every other day for me. Thank you for blessing me with every spiritual blessing. I praise you because you are worthy. I love you and believe you have amazing things in store for me every day. In Jesus’ name, amen.

God is the best doctor, and prayer is the best medicine.
