Local authorities arrested and charged a Fayetteville man with felony possession of controlled substances.
On Oct. 10, Mount Olive police officer David Gravatt observed a vehicle traveling north on U.S. Highway 117 and initiated a traffic stop. Gravatt said he intended to charge the driver, 19-year-old Kendari Lee of 2927 Bolla Dr., for an improper display of registration and a window tint violation, but found Lee did not have a valid driver’s license.
Upon further investigation, Gravatt reportedly discovered Lee possessed a felonious amount of marijuana, a digital scale and $4,183 in cash.
Gravatt arrested and charged Lee with possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule IV controlled substance, felony possession of a Schedule IV substance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, fictitious registration, window tint violation and no operator’s license.
Lee was taken to the Wayne County Magistrate’s office and booked under a $2,500 secured bond.
