Brogden United Methodist Church held a Community Fun Day on Saturday.
The biggest hits were the dunking booth and water slide.
Participants tossed softballs at a target and attempted to send the dunkee into the water. On occasion, they'd step up and punch the target to get a splash.
Even BUMC Pastor David O. Moehring got dunked a couple of times.
Kids constantly climbed the water slide and landed in a pool of water at the bottom. It was a perfect way to cool down on a humid, sweltering day.
Other games included cornhole, which seemed to be the pastor's favorite on the day, pitching pennies for prizes, a dart-throwing board full of balloons, a bouncy house and a water-balloon filled wagon that kept the kids busy.
Festival goers were treated to snacks, ice cold and sweet slices of fresh watermelon. They dined on hot dogs later in the evening and then watched 'Pete's Dragon' to end the festivities.
