Southern Wayne graduate, Bethany Tadlock, left was named the first-ever recipient of the Trooper Nolan Sanders Foundation Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to a student who exemplifies the qualities of someone called to serve the residents of their community. ‘Bethany’s academics, community service and participation in various clubs and organizations made her an excellent choice to receive this year’s scholarship,’ said Alexis Sanders, who is on Tadlock’s right. The scholarship is named in honor of the late Trooper Nolan J. Sanders, who died in the line of duty on March 27, 2020.
