Firefighters respond to early morning fire in mobile home park

Posted
Shortly before 9 a.m. this morning firefighters from Dudley, Arrington and Mar-Mac were dispatched to the scene of a possible working structure fire at 131 north Running Deer Circle in Pleasant Acres mobile home park just off of Genoa Road. As fire units arrived on the seen they found smoke coming from around the roof of the house and from over the front door, Several firefighters were able to gain entry through the front door with a hand line looking for the source of the fire. The fire was located in one of the front bed rooms. Firefighters made a quick "knock down" and kept the fire contained to that area in the mobile home. The quick action of the firefighters managed to keep this structure from being completely destroyed by fire. No one was home when the fire started, and fire officials on the scene believe that the fire was started from an electrical shock. Firefighters remained on the scene for about an hour and a half making sure the fire was out.
