A Dudley man has been jailed on terror assault charges, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
The charges were lodged against 39-year-old Timothy Shawn Daniels of 231 McCullen Lane.
Daniels was being held under a $100,000 bond for an alleged assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill resulting in serious injury and break or enter with intent to terrorize or injure an occupant.
The incident occurred on Jan. 6 when officers received a report of an individual suffering from a head wound in the 800 block of Mitchell Road in Dudley.
Officers arriving to the scene said they found the victim suffering from a laceration to the head.
The man was treated at Wayne UNC Health Care for the injury.
During the course of the investigation, the report stated, it was determined there was an altercation between the victim and Daniels.
Deputies say it occurred when Daniels allegedly broke into the victim’s home and assaulted him with a bat.
Investigators said they located the evidence inside the home and arrested Daniels.
