Construction closes Duplin County road

KENANSVILLE – A Duplin County road closed Monday and will remain off-limits to traffic for three weeks while crews replace a pipe damaged during Hurricane Florence.

J.B. Stroud Road, near Leonard Rich Road, will be closed until 5 p.m. June 10 to allow the N.C. Department of Transportation to replace a crossline pipe under the road.

Drivers should anticipate needing extra time while traveling on the road and use extra caution while crews are working, according to a release from the DOT.
