Barbara Bryan received the prestigious “Rotarian of the Year” award during the Rotary of Mount Olive’s recent meeting that also marked the transition of officers.

The “Rotarian of the Year” is given to a member who exhibits “service above self” in their daily activities and who promotes Rotary by their actions and involvements. This may be accomplished through one major activity in club service, in multiple activities or by serving on several committees.

Bryan is treasurer of the Rotary Club.

“The Rotary Club of Mount Olive has several members who exemplify these wonderful traits,” said Dave Thompson, outgoing president of RCMO.

“This year’s recipient has been vital in the day-to-day operations that are essential to a successful club - attending most meetings, either in person or virtually, attending all district get-togethers, communicating club and district information through emails and scheduled online meetings, and serving as District 7720 DCO-District Communications Officer, District Leadership Council.

“She kept me straight and somewhat organized through my entire tenure and I truly appreciate all she does for our club and our district.”
