Greetings from the Wesley Smith Chapel community! I’m thanking God for waking me up on such a beautiful, sunshiny day.
Several events are coming up at local churches:
In our hearts
Our heart, sympathy and prayers are with family of Tammy Warren Jones, who passed away on Sunday evening March 8 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. Tammy was the daughter of Cynthia Ann Warren Foster and the niece of Carolyn Allen. Services are being handled by Haskins Funeral Home in Goldsboro. A viewing was held on Saturday, March 14 before the memorial service at 2 p.m. Please keep Tammy’s mother, Cynthia Ann, along with Cynthia’s husband, Troy Jones, in your prayers.
Happy birthday to my brother, Dennis Jerome Ward, on March 27 from your wife, Jean, your girls, Sierra and Baby Boy, Michelle and son; and Latisha and her husband, Derrick, and children along with your baby brother and his wife, Ronald and Dorothy Inez Ward and from your pastor, Elder Kenneth Freeman, and the St.Luke Church family.
Happy birthday on March 11 to Milton Waters, from your wife Colette Waters and the children. Happy birthday on March 14 to Teresa Baker; on March 17 to Amos Ward; on March 18 to Graham March; on March 20 to Theresa Ward Jackson; and on March 29 to Sherman Ward of Wilmington.
Our hearts were saddened to hear of the death of my cousin, Curtis Graham, who died on Wednesday, March 11 at UNC Wayne Memorial Hospital. Curtis was the son of the late James and Julia Graham, the husband of Deborah and the father of three children and grandchildren.
A homegoing celebration for Curtis Graham was held on Saturday March 14 at The Goldsboro Raleigh District Assembly at 11 a.m. Burial was held in the Ward Cemetery on Waller Road and the services were entrusted to Haskin Funeral Home. On behalf of the Ezekial and Annie Ward Family Reunion, Curtis will be missed among the family. We pray that God will give the family the strength to go through with God’s arms of protection wrapped around his family.
Elderess Velma McKinley would like to thank each and everyone who showed love, called and for the many birthday cards and flowers that she received as she celebrated her 92 birthday with a celebration given by her children. I personally would like to say this gorgeous, fabulous, young prayer warrior for all of her prayers for the St. Luke Church family as she has done for so many years. I love you, Ma Velma.
